Three years ago in 2014 ,I started blogging with my bestie. We had no idea what we were doing then but all I knew then was that I love being photographed, I love fashion and I love make-up. What I did not know was that I could take it to the next level and even make a career out of my passion but I was doing it anyway. I was getting myself photographed, editing my pictures and posting on my website and I was loving it.
A year later, I took a break to plan my wedding because my boyfriend proposed. I got pregnant same year and was still on the blogging break. I had my baby in 2016 (lol) which even extended the break further because being a first time mum in a long distance relationship I could only handle so much.
There I was two years later with a void in me because I have dedicated most of my time caring for my daughter Kadima. I missed my blogging hobby but as a full time mom with a full time job, I did not know how to pick it back up. My life became a routine. Each week day, I dropped Kadima off at her minder before going to work and piking her up after work only to get home and start her bedtime routine. I am usually spent by the time she’s in bed.
My bestie whom I started with carried on and is currently doing big things :D. A few weeks ago she asked me if I could help her with a campaign she need to do for a company. I indulged her and just being around her whilst shooting reignited the fire in me and I made a commitment to myself that whatever it takes, I would make time to get back to my love.
Here I am four blogpost later. It feels like I am started all over again, learning how to edit, learning how to write and learning to pose for a photo. These were things that I used to do effortlessly but I am gaining my confidence and I feel good.
I am wearing the the Fenty beauty foundation and I must say that this will definitely be my go-to foundation. I am normally not a big fan of change and I am an ‘if it ain’t broken don’t fix it’ person. I have been using MAC and MaryKay foundation for over 12 years and since they work for, I do not see the point in trying out something else.
After attending the Fenty beauty Launch at Harvey Nichols in Manchester. I was matched at #440 and I must confess that I love it. What I love the most about the Fenty foundation is the fact that it feels very light on the skin, I don’t feel the heaviness that I do with the MAC. I usually like a medium coverage for my foundation and it does the job perfectly although it can be built up for a fuller coverage. I was a bit apprehensive when I got matched for #440 because of the red undertone where my foundation normally has a yellow undertone. As you can see in the pictures how flawless the foundation is on my face. It is definitely a winner for me <3.
